Responsibilities Responsibilities Arcfield is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with nuclear weapons expertise to support our U.S. Navy customer, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), in Washington, DC. In this position you will support the nation’s most reliable deterrent, while assisting the engineering team in the areas of weapon system design, qualification, production and deployment. This position works daily at the Arcfield Maritime Plaza Office in Washington, D.C. (across the street from the Washington Navy Yard). It is within sight of the Nation’s Capital and has access to public transportation. 25% travel can be expected. What you will do: * Act as liaison between Arcfield and our Navy SSP customer for program related technical issues.
* Assist in directing the efforts of twenty-two engineers and analysts supporting three major nuclear weapons development.
* Assist the Arcfield Maritime Plaza site lead in efforts related to facility management, security compliance, and IT infrastructure maintenance.
* Draft and review CDRL items for delivery to the customer.
* Assess the status of deployed system modifications and coordinate efforts related to Navy acceptance of those modifications.
* Lead assessments of RTD&E efforts in support of life-extension, alteration, and developmental weapons systems.
* Advise Navy SSP as requested regarding technical issues.
* Coordinate with the Navy and NNSA as needed.
* Serve as a panel member for system design and flight test reviews.
Qualifications You would be a great fit if: * Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline and 12-15 years of experience, MS and 10-13 years of experience, PhD and 10+ years of experience. * Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.
* You have 20 years of experience in the design and production of nuclear weapons.
* You possess excellent organization, writing and communication skills.
* You are experienced in managing contract deliverables and documentation.
* You are experienced in maintaining professional relationships with team members.
You would be an even better fit if you: * Have experience with Joint DoD-DOE Nuclear Weapons Life-Cycle Activities to include the Phase X Process and the Phase 6.X Process.
* Have a DOE Q clearance.
Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
