Job Description:
The successful candidate shall provide a full range of application development support, through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
The contractor shall provide software development, programming, configuration, and customization support for customer technical issues and requests:
Design, code, and test applications.
Maintain and update existing software systems to meet higher level guidance and correcting software defects
Responsibilities:
Engineer, design, install, configure, and optimize IT systems.
Provide system and engineering support for documented and approved projects and tasks.
Ensure all engineered solutions and PDSRs are in compliance with published DISA STIGs, and DoD policies and standards as listed on the DISA website.
Ensure engineered solutions are designed to maintain highest availability and service dependability.
Maintain existing and, as required, develop new documentation that will include but is not limited to WPs and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards.
Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation.
Support requirement analysis to develop technical solution options. These technical solutions are evaluated and one will be chosen to implement.
Provide management proposed configurations, optimizations, and system improvement plans.
Work with the Information Technology System Service Manager (ITSSM) to establish and meet project milestones and deliverables. Ensure all solutions meet documented customer requirements and are within project scope.
Follow all Change Management processes as defined in GFI 13.2.53 to ensure changes are completed according to the project and/or release manager schedule.
Work as part of a project team to develop migration plans for existing services ensuring minimal service interruption.
Perform duties as a development project lead.
Develop task lists, assist the ITSSM with project documentation, maintain project status in the automated project tracking system, and ensure milestones are identified and met.
Meet Service / Support Level Requirements as defined
in section 18.
Provide CMMI Level 3 Management Plans. Update existing Capability Maturity Model Integration CMMI Level 3 documentation, GFI 13.219-13.2.28, to incorporate contractor’s processes. Provide schedules, audit materials, training decks and CMMI Facilitation in accordance with GFI 13.2.35.
Responsible for ensuring software developer tools meet DISA STIGs, DOD and SUBMEPP policies and standards.
Complete major COTS upgrades for the following applications: Windchill, Cold Fusion, JDK_JRE, Microsoft Technical Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Apache Tomcat. This will include updating code for MSWP and eBusiness as a result of an operation system version upgrade.
Required Skills:
Education:
COMP/TIA Sec+ Java Developer Certification or equivalent or 4-year degree in Information Systems field
5-years of development experience with JDK_JRE and at least 1-year of Adobe Cold Fusion development experience
