Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst and Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, data analysis, reporting, and developing solutions using a variety of programming languages including Java, R, and Python. Proficiency in SQL, Google Apps Scripts, experience in AWS PySpark, Unix shell scripting, and familiarity with consuming web services using REST and SOAP will be considered strong advantages.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document data requirements.
Data Analysis: Provide business and data analytics expertise to derive meaningful insights, trends, and patterns.
Reporting and Dashboards: Design and develop reports and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights effectively.
Development: Proficient in languages such as Python, Java, and R to develop custom solutions and applications.
SQL Proficiency: Expertise in SQL, including but not limited to working with stored procedures.
Tool Proficiency: Expertise in using Excel, PowerPoint, Eclipse (for Java development), R Studio, and GitHub Desktop for version control.
Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts using Google Apps Scripts, Unix shell scripting for automation, and workflow optimization.
AWS PySpark (Preferred): Knowledge or experience with AWS PySpark is a plus.
Web Services: Familiarity with consuming web services using REST and SOAP.
Documentation and Training: Provide formal documentation, communications, and training support as needed.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● Proven experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, and reporting.
● Strong development skills in Java, R, and Python.
● Proficiency in SQL, including working with stored procedures.
● Familiarity with AWS PySpark, Google Apps Scripts, and Unix shell scripting is an advantage.
● Experience with version control using tools like GitHub Desktop.
● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
