Job Description The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) of the U.S. Department of Labor is the principal federal agency responsible for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy. BAE Systems is seeking a SAS Developer to support the Division of Labor Force Statistics on our Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) contract in Washington, DC. This position will assist the American Time Use Survey Group (ATUS) in developing and validating statistical programs. Write SAS code and work with federal economists and statisticians to develop tables and statistics. Required Education, Experience, & Skills 6 years’ of overall SAS experience -Significant experience designing and implementing SAS applications using SAS data step processing, SAS Procedures, SAS Macro Skills, and SAS relational database merge skills.
– Experience working from written requirements as well as gathering requirements from users. – Experience developing and using software analysis and design, flowcharts etc. and configuration management principles
– Significant experience testing software applications and verifying results across multiple platforms.
– Problem diagnosis and trouble shooting skills, experience supporting systems in maintenance; updating existing systems for change requests.
– Skilled at working collaboratively with teams including product owners and senior architect. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills – Familiarity with statistical surveys
– Experience with Structured Query Language and relational databases. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $69190 – $117590 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
