Duties This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA) . The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Assistant to the Director (ATD) in preparing MDA Executive Leadership for engagements with Combatant Commands (CCMD) and/or military service leadership. Synchronizes activities of MDA representatives in their respective region. Ensures MDA leadership has situational awareness of regional issues affecting MDA objectives. As a Program Analyst at the NH-0343-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include: * Serve as a MDA Liaison to USNORTHCOM/NORAD. Interact with Combatant Command (CCMD) senior Government leadership (FO/GO and SES level) on Missile Defense System (MDS) related matters to ensure coordinated development and deployment within the CCMD Area of Responsibility. Provide operational-level interface to CCMDs for the MDS. * Represent MDA and its positions and programs by establishing CCMD customer alliances; anticipating MDS integration/ coordination problems and developing solutions. * Analyze, evaluate and contribute to the development of Missile Defense Joint Doctrine, Concepts of Operations, and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs). * Facilitate Warfighter participation in the development of future missile defense capabilities. Capture, coordinate, solicit and provide Warfighter input to CCMDs and military services supporting MDS requests for information (RFIs) and analysis (RFAs). * Facilitates Warfighter participation in the development of future missile defense capabilities and participation in exercises and wargames. * Deliver clear and effective verbal and written reports and briefings to leaders. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US citizen * Male born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service * Resume and supporting documents received by 11:59PM EST will be considered * Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation * May be required to successfully complete a probationary period * This is a Drug Testing designated position * Work Schedule: Fulltime * Overtime: Occasionally * Tour of Duty: Set Schedule * Recruitment Incentives: Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees based on agency policy and availability. * Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt * Financial Disclosure: Not Required * Telework Eligibility: This position is situational telework eligible * Selective Service Requirement: Please visit http://www.sss.gov for more information * Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Investigation (TS/SCI) clearance Qualifications You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: * Closely interacting with Senior Government leadership at the Combatant Command (CCMD), FO/GO and SES level. * Experience with a major weapon system associated with Maritime and Land-Based Missile Defense Systems in a Joint environment, to include coordinating test events. * Developing, analyzing and evaluating Operational Doctrine and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures(TTPs). * Using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, to include gathering data and performing qualitative/quantitative analysis in order to develop resulting comprehensive studies, reviews, assessments, plans, and/or schedules. * Conducting operational-level interface with CCMD organizations for a major weapon system. * Integrating and coordinating problems, facilitating Requests for Information/Analysis, developing sound solutions, and implementing actions to ensure mission accomplishment.
