This highly respected corporation is seeking to hire an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to join their team.
Although primarily remote, candidates must live in the general Texas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas area to easily commute to the corporate office on occasion. Not available for C2C or candidates needing visa transfers.

Duties include:
Provides advanced-level database services including design, creation, and maintenance of database systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain databases including but not limited to:
o Optimal database performance by tuning database parameters and settings
o Data integrity and reliability
o Data security
o Disk space management
o Capacity planning
o Troubleshooting of performing SQL issues
o Ensures databases are properly backed up
Design complex database schema and table structures for new development. Install and configure database packages
Coordinate with development personnel and end users to resolve data conflicts and complicated performance problems
Coordinate with technical and development personnel to identify requirements for new database design
Compile, calculate, analyze, and prepare information and reports related to databases including but not limited to:
o System security and event logs
o Performance monitoring reports
o Disk utilization reports
o Backup/recovery logs
o Database dump scripts
Qualifications needed:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or other related field with previous experience or equivalent formal education to include a combination of such courses as programming languages, computers and society; computer organization; data structure sand algorithm analysis; numerical analysis, file processing, database processing, and operating systems plus the following job-related experience:
Work Experience
Experience with all areas of administration of applicable database systems. Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server database in a corporate environment
Experience and/or training in use and function of database systems such as:
o Designing and working with multiple instances of MS SQL Server
o Utilizing Enterprise Manager and other management tools to maintain and tune MS SQL Server databases
o Modifying stored procedures in a database server environment
o Utilizing SQL, Windows Server and/or Unix administrative skills
Experience in reading and interpreting company correspondence, reports, cost analyses, contracts, manuals, etc.
Experience regarding research, compose, and prepare reports, studies, recommendations, and correspondence applicable to position
Experience interacting and communicating effectively
Experience developing and presenting information to individuals and groups
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: relational database design including table structures, indexes, and primary/foreign key fields. Experience with problem resolution and technical troubleshooting skills
Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
