Job Description Job Description Our Roseland, NJ office is currently seeking a Lead Web Application Firewall Architect/Engineer for a hybrid position. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience with web infrastructure technologies including F5 or Citrix Load Balancers, HAProxy, NGINX, API-Gateways, DNS, Content Delivery Networks (CDN) such as Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, Imperva, as well as expertise in Digital Certificates, OpenSSL, and cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS and Azure. Familiarity with DNS solutions, specifically Infoblox, and a solid background in adhering to security compliance standards such as HiTrust, ISO, and PCI is essential. This role involves delivering cutting-edge web infrastructure solutions and tools from conceptualization to operation, with a particular emphasis on cloud-based and software-defined infrastructure, as well as automation.

Typical Duties:

– Support the adoption of new Web Services Security technologies and enhancements, contribute to technology trials through lab/QA deployments.
– Engage in all aspects of service delivery from requirements gathering, prioritization, through to design, development, testing, and Proof of Concept execution.
– Collaborate closely with senior IT and business leaders to ensure IT initiatives are aligned with business strategies and objectives.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships across the IT organization and the wider enterprise, aligning network security technologies with broader organizational needs.
– Act as a liaison with vendors and service providers to select products or services that best meet the organization’s global network strategy.
– Offer guidance on infrastructure performance and capacity by analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
– Identify and evaluate emerging network and web security solutions in coordination with Global Security.
– Communicate the status of web services and network security initiatives to IT leadership and business partners regularly.
– Mentor team members, setting a standard through adherence to established team and technical leadership guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, with a Master’s degree preferred.
– At least 10 years of progressive experience in Web Infrastructure Architecture & Security Design.
– Proficient in the administration and management of F5 LTM & GTM Load Balancers, HA Proxy, NGINX, and/or Citrix Load Balancers.
– Experience with Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto) is advantageous.
– Skilled in the use of API Gateways and Web Application Firewalls, with experience in BOT protection and F5 Shape being a plus.
– Experience with Cloud Web Application Firewalls such as Akamai Kona Defender, AWS WAF, Imperva, Cloudflare.
– Comprehensive understanding of PKI and Digital Certificates, including experience with OpenSSL and Keytool commands for certificate management.
– Proficiency in Linux environments (SLES and RHEL).
