Grant Thornton is seeking a Cyber Privacy and Data Protection Senior Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. Grant Thornton’s Privacy and Data Protection team helps our clients transform and mature their privacy program through assessment, automation, process re-engineering, and managed services. As a Senior Manager within our Privacy & Data Protection practice, you will get the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients’ business needs across a variety of domains including privacy strategy, governance, automation, risk, and compliance management – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.

From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Risk team and Cyber team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include:
Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
Support execution of assigned client engagements from start to finish, which includes the working on the deliverables independently, in collaboration with the client, engagement planning, directing, and completion of IT security assessments and Information Security architectural design and deployments
Apply current knowledge of technology and cyber trends and to identify security and risk management issues and other opportunities for improvement
Advising clients on complying with regulatory requirements such as FFIEC, GLBA, NY Dissect, as well as industry frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, COSO and PCI
Assist clients in planning and executing remediation plans identified in assessment activities
Participate in clients call as Security SME, provide solutions best fitted to the requirement in line with the industry best practices
Work with the client to plan an engagement strategy, define objectives, and address technology- related controls risks and issues
Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvements
Participate in professional development activities and training sessions on regular basis
Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients
Design and develop IT Risk and Cybersecurity programs using industry frameworks and methodologies
Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Juris Doctorate, or a related field is required, Masters preferred
Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross industry clients at a national level
One of the following certifications/licenses required: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, or other related certifications
Understanding of Industry Standards/frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS etc. required
Expertise in setting up and running BC-DR Program in client environment
Implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide cyber risk governance frameworks and controls
Experience developing of detailed business risk scenarios and cyber threat models
Use of tools and technology to provide data analytics and business intelligence noncyber threats, risks, and vulnerabilities
Building and operationalizing complex IT risk management and cyber security programs for clients
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving approach
Exceptional client service and communication skills
Can travel as needed
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Los Angeles, CA and Bellevue, WA offices is between $202,500 and $337,500.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices is between $215,600 and $359,400.
The base salary range for this position in New York only is between $202,500 and $337,500.
