The ClaimCenter team is searching for an Application Analyst & Developer. Claims IT supports and enhances the ClaimCenter application used by various Great American Business Units.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze application specifications and technology approaches to ensure business requirements are met and are scalable for future system enhancementsCollaborate with Business Analyst team members to design solutions and, diagnose and resolve complex defects, and suggest future application solutionsDevelop automated unit test cases for testing integrationsSupport testing activities and resolve issues identifiedWork within a development team using Agile methodology to deliver softwareWork across the organization to provide business processes or design recommendations consistent with long-term business and IT strategyQualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer information systems or engineering and/or a minimum of 2 years of work experience developing Java applicationsExperience with the following technologies and tools are a plus:

J2EE frameworkApache TomcatRDMS such as Oracle or SQL Server and integration of the database with Java applicationsWebservice/API development (REST, SOAP); implementing SOA, ESB modules, web services, and APIsWeb-based data formats (XML, JSON)Webservice testing tools (SoapUI, Postman)Writing JUnit testsBuild and deployment tools (Concourse, Jenkins)GitHub for version controlDevelop applications using microservices frameworkFull Stack development: front-end and back-end development experienceApplication testing and coordinating test strategies with IT Quality Assurance teamsGuidewire Cloud development experience

Highly motivated and ambitious, excellent communication skills, creative & critical thinkerContinual learning and improvement in the understanding of software capabilities and programming languages is essential

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
